Picture of the Day: Musical Masquerade

I love the colors and the energy of this piece.

One needs only to scroll down his Facebook News Feed to discover that music has become part of the fabric of our lives, like a soundtrack in a movie. Music is used in celebration, worship, mourning, or boredom, providing spice to our lives and catharsis for those deeply emotional days. You may prefer to listen to specific genres while you work, whether you are painting a picture, writing a novel, or simply arranging shoes in ypur closet by color, function, and style. Listening to the appropriate tune can enhance your experience and productivity. Music is a creative expression in itself and can help set the mood for other such acts, influencing fluidity and emotion in your work. If you work near your computer or other web device, Pandora and GrooveShark are two wonderful sites that offer free music. Pandora is "internet radio" that allows you to create your own stations based upon songs or bands that you like. You can "thumbs up" or "thumbs down" the songs that appear in your feed and Pandora will adjust accordingly, playing songs similar to the ones you like and skipping those you dislike. GrooveShark will set up a playlist with all music by the same artist, so if you have a particular favorite band that you can't get enough of, this is the site for you. Do you have a particular type of music you like to listen to while you work? If so, what is it and how does it influence your project?

  2. Pandora- Black Eyed Peas station- rocks for doing cardio/working out. Especially if you're like me and too lazy to make a play list. :) Love today's pic of the day.

  3. Thanks, Erin. I only wish I knew the title/artist, if so I would give credit. Alas, the internet doesn't always provide.
